Mojitos are hands down my all-time favorite drink. They are so refreshing, light, and sweet; perfect for sipping year-round!

So during this holiday season, why not trade out your traditional mojito for something more exciting?

I’ve made a mojito with mango and coconut, but now it’s time for this sweet and tart Blood Orange cranberry jalapeno Mojito!

This mojito recipe is tart from the fresh lime juice, and cranberry juice and sweet with a light kick from the jalapeno simple syrup.

The Blood orange sparkling gives the mojito a beautiful pink hue. I love the hint of spice that the jalapeños add to this, but don’t worry it’s not overwhelming.

The heat is just enough to remind you that this isn’t just classic mojito, yet subtle enough to let those traditional mojito flavors still be the hero flavors.

You can control the spice by increasing or decreasing the amount of jalapeño used in simple syrup.

The thing I love most about this drink is the color.

Seriously, take a look at the glass above. It’s pretty freaking gorgeous and full of festive vibes. Isn’t it??

If this doesn’t scream holidays & festiveness – I don’t know what does!

The mint leaves, rosemary, and cranberries give it that jolly feel.

Ingredients required

  • Cranberry Juice – Use no sugar added 100% cranberry juice.
  • Lime juice – For the citrusy tart flavors. You can use lemon juice instead of lime juice.
  • Blood orange sparkling water – This is the star of this drink. It’s easily available online and in-store. I got it from Target. My personal favorite is Sanpellegrino Blood Orange/Aranciata Rossa Italian Sparkling Drinks.
  • Sugar – To make simple syrup. Use granulated sugar.
  • Mint – You will need lots of mint for the flavors and garnishing.
  • Jalapenos – To give a mild kick to the drink. I have used jalapenos in making simple syrup and while muddling too. You can skip if you are making it for kids or don’t prefer spice.
  • Garnishing – for garnishing, you will need cranberries and rosemary. Fresh cranberries and rosemary are very important here. It not only looks pretty and fresh but also adds holiday vibes to the drink.

  • Now add ice cubes, cranberry juice, and simple syrup. Stir everything well.

Notes, pro-tips, and Quick FAQs

  • Add soda and ice just before serving so it doesn’t start to go flat.
  • For best results, make sure the ingredients are cold when you mix them so the ice lasts longer and doesn’t water down the punch.
  • If you can not find blood orange sparkling juice, you can use orange sparkling juice too.
  • I have served this drink in 10 8 oz. glasses. The serving size will depend on the size of the glass.
Storage and Freezing Instructions

You could make a big batch of the simple syrup and either keep it refrigerated for up to 3 weeks or freeze it to use later as needed. Otherwise, make the rest of the mojito fresh as needed.

Can this mojito be made in a pitcher?

Yes, just multiply the original recipe by the number of servings you want to make (or will fit in your pitcher) and prepare. Just make sure to leave out the sparkling juice until right before serving to keep it fresh.

This easy non-alcoholic Christmas drink is going to be the highlight of your party.
