During festive celebrations like Diwali, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, I enjoy getting creative with fun and unique non-alcoholic drinks, also known as mocktails, for my dinner parties. Having tasty drinks that everyone can enjoy, regardless of whether they drink alcohol, adds a special touch to the occasion. Some of my favorite mocktail recipes include the Mango tamarind mocktail, Hibiscus Margarita, Pineapple Jaljeera, Aam Panna, and Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita. I’m excited to share another one of my favorites: the Lychee Strawberry Fizz!
I absolutely love eating lychee on its own, but I’m also a big fan of anything that has a lychee flavor. That’s why I’m always experimenting with new recipes that include this wonderful fruit. After some tinkering, I created a drink called the Lychee Strawberry Fizz.
Here at home, we’ve really gotten into mocktails – non-alcoholic cocktails! Whenever I host a party, guests get excited to see what drink I’ll serve, so I’m always looking for fun and creative mocktail recipes to try.
The Lychee Strawberry Mocktail is a lovely and refreshing drink that combines the sweet, floral taste of lychee with the fruity flavor of strawberries and a splash of lemon juice. This exotic mocktail is perfect for festive parties, summer get-togethers, brunches, or any occasion where you want a fancy drink without alcohol.
Not only does this beautiful drink impress with its appearance, but it’s also a hit with everyone – adults will enjoy it, and kids will feel special sipping on something bubbly!
Ingredients

- Sparkling Water – lightens up the entire drink and makes it effervescent. Use whichever unflavored brand you like. You can substitute it with club soda.
- Canned lychee is an easy ingredient to use for this drink. You can find it along with its syrup in many grocery stores or online, like on Amazon. I usually get mine from an Asian market. While you can also use fresh lychee if you prefer, using canned lychee is often simpler, tastes better, and is more convenient. (Check the recipe modifications section for helpful tips if you decide to go with fresh lychee.)
- Strawberries – Be sure to use fresh strawberries with the stems removed.
- Sugar for the sweetness.
- Lemon juice - Adds a touch of tartness to balance out the sweetness. Make sure you use freshly squeezed lemon juice for maximum flavor.
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
- To start, take a can of lychee along with its syrup and pour it into a blender. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth, then transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
- Next, gather some strawberries, lemon juice, sugar, and a cup of Water. Blend these ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined and smooth. After blending, strain this mixture using a fine sieve to remove any bits.
- Now, combine the strained strawberry mixture with the lychee syrup in the bowl and mix everything together thoroughly.
- Pour this combined mixture into a jug. For an extra touch, you can add a few sprigs of mint and some chopped strawberries if you’d like.
- When you’re ready to serve, add some sparkling water or club soda to the jug. Taste it and adjust the sweetness if needed. Enjoy your refreshing Lychee Strawberry Fizz! It’s a delightful drink perfect for any occasion.

Make ahead
Start prepping the night before a party. Make strawberry and lychee syrup. Mix both together and stir well. Then, place it in the fridge until you are ready to serve. At the time of serving, add the club soda or sparkling Water.
Top tip
- You can use Logan fruit as a substitute for lychee. They are both tropical fruits that can be found in cans and have a similar taste. Lychee has a sweet, floral flavor, while logan has a stronger, muskier taste.
- Make sure to use the freshest strawberries you can find. When preparing them, blend and strain the mixture thoroughly. This helps prevent any bits from getting stuck in your straw or clogging the drink dispenser.
- This Lychee Strawberry Fizz recipe is incredibly simple to make, and you can easily scale it up to make larger batches if you want to serve more people.
- If you prefer drinks that aren’t too sweet, you can reduce the sugar in the recipe.
- For a fun twist, you can turn this mocktail into a cocktail by adding vodka or swapping the sparkling Water for sparkling wine, making it a little more suitable for adults.
- Serve this drink really cold, packed with ice, whether you’re using a large pitcher or individual glasses.
- If you’d rather use fresh lychee, that works too! Peel it and remove the pit. Instead of using the sweet syrup from the canned fruit, you can use a simple sugar syrup.
- To keep your drink cold, freeze some lychee and strawberries and use them with ice cubes in your pitcher. You can also freeze lemon slices to add a nice touch.
- If you have any leftovers, cover them with plastic wrap and store them in the fridge for up to five days. While the fizz will be gone, it will still taste great.
