Virgin Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita

In this drink, Jalapenos give very mild punch, Pineapple and mint give it a refreshing zing. This is little bit sweet version. If you don’t like sweetness, you may avoid the sugar.

How to make Virgin Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita??

Pineapple, mint, sugar and couple of slices of Jalapenos get added to a large pitcher or big glass. Muddle it, take this into glass with ice, some pineapple juice and Sparkling water. That’s it!! You can place the muddled mixture into refrigerator to chill until you are ready to serve. And whenever you are ready to serve, add pineapple juice into muddled mixture and sparkling water.

What are the Alternatives of pineapple??

You can use strawberry, blueberries or mango.

Virgin Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita

Ingredients

Pineapple chopped – ½ cup

Pineapple Juice* – 1 cup (I used fresh home-made Pineapple juice)

Sugar – 1 tbsp

Mint leaves – 6 to 7

Jalapenos – 4 to 5 slices (Remove the seeds)

Sparkling water / Plain soda – 500 ml

Salt – ¼ tsp

Red chili powder – ¼ tsp

Few lemon slices, mint leaves and jalapenos for garnishing

Ice cubes

Direction

*For Pineapple juice, take ½ cup pineapple and ½ cup water in a blender. Blend it well and keep it aside.

1. Take Jalapeno slices, chopped pineapple, mint leaves and sugar in a big glass. Muddle it well. Keep it aside.

2. In a plate, mix salt and chili powder.

3. Take 2 glasses. Moisten the Rim with lemon slice. Now draw the lemon along the entire rim, squeezing gently until the edge is uniformly moistened. Evenly dip the rim into salt and chili powder mixture.

4. Now take ice cubes in glasses. Divide muddled mixture in 2 glasses.

5. Add Pineapple juice and sparkling water(add it when you are ready to serve). Mix gently.

6. And Virgin Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita is ready. Garnish it with some lemon wedges, sliced jalapeno and mint leaves.

      Instead of muddling, can you just blend it all together with ice?

        Sure you can. While blending, don’t add lemon slices/wedges. Instead, add lemon juice. Hope this helps.

    Just made this but used Lime Sparkling Water instead of plain…absolutely refreshing and delicious with nachos for dinner tonight! I will make this again for sure!
