How to make the Wholesome Wrap Recipe?
This easy wrap recipe is divided into 4 parts.
1. Patty
In some this wrap recipe, the patty is made with lots of vegetables like Grated carrots, Chopped onion, Finely chopped bell peppers, Boiled and mashed potatoes, and chopped spinach.
Take all vegetables and mashed potatoes in a big bowl. Add chili powder, salt, turmeric powder. garam masala and amchur powder. Mix it very well. Mold it into a cylinder shape.
Deep it into Bread crumbs.
In a nonstick tava/skillet, add 1 teaspoon oil and arrange patty. Pour oil 1 teaspoon on each patty. Shallow fry it from both sides.
Keep it aside.
2. For Chillas
Soak all the lentils for 4 hours.
Take Drained and soaked dal in a bowl. Add cilantro, garlic, chilies, curry leaves, and ginger and salt.
Blend this into a blender using very little water. Make a batter into pouring consistency. Keep it aside.
3. For chapati
Mix all the ingredients (Whole wheat flour, water, salt, and oil) and knead a soft and smooth dough. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
Divide it into 7 equal parts.
Roll it into thick chapati. Cook it lightly on Tava.
Wrap it in a kitchen towel. Keep it aside.
4. Now let’s Assemble this healthy wrap.
Heat nonstick tava on medium heat.
Put one big spoon of chilla batter Tava. Place chapatti on top of the batter immediately. Press Chapatti with a spatula to flatten Chilla and to make it to the same size of chapatti. Chilla should stick to chappati. Cook it on medium to low heat.
Apply butter or ghee on top of Chapatti.
Flip it once Chilla is light golden brown in color.
Apply Mayonnaise and tomato sauce. Arrange patty in the center. Put sliced onion on top of Patty. When Chapatti is light golden brown from the bottom, fold it from both sides.
Instead of mayonnaise and sauce, you can apply sweet chutney and green chutney.
Or you can apply classic Hummus or Edamame Hummus.

- ¼ cup - Udad dal

- 3 - green chilies

- Salt to taste
- 5 to 6 - Curry leaves
For Patty

- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoon - Dry mango powder amchur powder
- 1 teaspoon - Chili powder
- 1 teaspoon - Garam masala
- Pinch of turmeric
- Oil for Shallow fry
- 1 cup - Bread crumbs
For Chapatti / Flatbread
- 1.5 cup - Whole wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon - Oil
- ¾ cup Water Use little at a time
Other Ingredients
- Ghee or oil
- Mayonnaise
- Tomato sauce
- OR
- Green chutney
- Sweet chutney
- OR
- Hummus
- Sliced onions
Instructions
For Patty

Notes
- You can use tortilla instead of making roti at home
- Use any vegetable of your choice
- Instead of bread crumbs, you may use rice flour too.
- If you have leftover batter, use it to make chillas next day for breakfast.
- If you find it hard to mould the patty, use more bread crumbs or cornflour.
- You can add cheese too.
- Spread chilla batter as thin as possible so that it gets cooked nicely.
