Chilli Paneer Manchurian

Chili Paneer Manchurian is a very popular Indo Chinese recipe and also my families favorite appetizer. It is very yummy dish made with Manchurian balls, Paneer and Bell pepper/Capsicum. It can be served with fried rice or noodles or as a side dish or as a appetizer.

Ingredient

Manchurian balls

Shredded cabbage – 1 cup

Shredded cauliflower – 1 cup

Finely chopped Bell pepper/capsicum – 1/2 cup

Shredded carrots – 1/2 cup

Chopped French beans – 1/4 cup

Finely chopped ginger and garli – 2 tsp

Salt and pepper to taste

Red chili sauce – 2 tsp

Soy sauce – 1 tsp

Corn flour – 2 tbsp

All Purpose flour – 3 tbsp

Green onion for garnishing

Oil for deep fry

For sauce

Oil – 2 tbsp

Ginger and garlic paste – 2 tsp

Red chili sauce – 2 tsp

Soy sauce – 1 tsp

Water – 3 to 4 tbsp

Vinegar – 1 tsp

Other Ingredients

Paneer – 1 cup

Bell pepper cubed – 1 cup

Oil – 1 tbsp

 

Direction

1. Take all the vegetables a bowl.

2. Add salt, pepper, chili sauce, soy sauce, corn flour and maida. Mix it very well. Check the mixture. You should be able to make round balls.  In case mix does not bind properly and small balls cannot be made, add 1 – 2 tbsp more flour.

3. Make it into equal 15 to 20 round balls.

4. Heat oil for deep frying. Fry balls in small batch.

5. Heat oil in a pan and saute paneer and Bell pepper for 3 minutes over medium to high heat.

6. Heat oil for sauce in another pan. Add ginger and garlic paste, red chili sauce, vinegar and soy sauce. Cook this on a high flame for few seconds.

7. Add deep fried balls, Paneer and Bell pepper. Mix it well.

8. Switch off the flame and take Chilli Paneer Manchurian into serving bowl.
